Tree Explanation.jpg

The Spirit Tree of Life symbolizes nonduality and Divine creation. It is designed to be easily understood, making its essence accessible to everyone, including children. Each element of the image has a specific meaning. More detailed illustration and explanation can be found in the picture book.

Base - The base of the tree represents the source of Divinity, from which all of Creation manifests. This is a space from which all that exists arises.

Tree - The tree itself represents Divinity Manifest as Creation. It grows spontaneously as everything is created.

Sparkly essence - The sparkly essence of the entire tree represents consciousness, which is the source and essence of all that exists.

Infinity Symbol - This symbol represents infinite creation. The unmanifest is the infinite source, and the tree also grows infinitely.

Trunk and wings - The trunk of the tree with wings represents the domain of great and powerful beings which we would refer to as archangels.

Branches - The branches represent the diminishing power of consciousness from the trunk of the tree to the tips of the branches. This illustrates various different angelic domains with different levels of power.

Leaf buds - The buds of the tree represent the level of power in the human domain.

Rainbow colors - Represent the different levels of consciousness present in the human domain as a spectrum.

Leaves - The leaves represent the physical forms in the human domain and the realm of duality. The gold leaves represent the dualistic masculine energies while the silver leaves represent the feminine energies.

Falling leaves - The falling leaves represent the dropping of the physical form or "death" of the physical body. The remaining leaf bud on the tree represents the continuation of the spiritual life of the soul.

Middle light - Represents the light of consciousness as life as well as Divinity Transcendent.

Light within the tree and in each leaf bud - Represents Divinity as it is experienced within, or immanent. There are differences in the amount of sparkle within each leaf bud, representing different levels of self-realization.

Radiating light - The gold radiating light represents the love of Divinity that shines equally on all that exists.

About the Artist
I am a part-time artist and full-time therapist on Vancouver Island in Canada. I spend a lot of my free time walking in the forest with my dog and thinking about the nature of existence.

Currently, this page is dedicated to the collection of work titled The Spirit Tree of Life. This project started as a vision, turned into a painting, which then became a series of paintings and a picture book.

This work began several years ago with a strong desire to share insights that I had experienced while exploring spirituality. I had been studying Devotional Nonduality, the work of Dr. David R. Hawkins, and working with children. I wanted to be able to explain very advanced spiritual concepts in a way that anyone could understand. Eventually, the Spirit Tree developed as a metaphor. And as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." I realized that It was possible to illustrate many of the concepts that I had learned and was able to create a beautiful and unique story that anyone can read and enjoy.

In many ways this project has felt Divinely guided, and I have diligently followed the path. It is with great joy that I share this work with everyone. My hope is that it brings as much joy to you as it has to me.
